This feasibility study was a collaborative effort involving CPL’s higher education team and McKim & Creed, aimed at enhancing research and educational capabilities as well as exploring the renovation of a portion of the Varsity Research Building, which had been initially constructed in 2003.
The facility comprises 10 adaptable modules designed to cater to the evolving needs of various research groups. The study also focused on accommodating the Plant and Insect Disease Clinic and a teaching lab for the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology.
This building not only facilitates the relocation of a graduate teaching lab but also has the potential to support other occupants within the Varsity Research Building, including the College of Sciences, College of Agriculture and Life Science faculty on the Centennial Campus.
