Designed in partnership with Kahler Slater, this LEED Silver Certified facility embodies the collective vision of Cone Health, Guilford Technical Community College, North Carolina A&T State University, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro—a remarkable collaboration dedicated to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Together, we envisioned immersive learning environments that support associate, bachelor’s, and doctoral degree programs in nursing and other health professions, ensuring students are equipped with the skills and experience needed to thrive in the field.
At the heart of the facility is an advanced simulation center, where students and practicing nurses train using computer-operated medical mannequins in a realistic, hospital-like setting. This hands-on approach ensures learners gain vital experience, enhancing their clinical judgment and practical skills in a controlled, true-to-life environment.
Beyond education, the Union Square Campus serves as a dynamic talent pipeline, fostering networking and professional development opportunities that connect students with healthcare leaders—setting them on a clear path to success before they even graduate. This forward-thinking design supports not only academic excellence but also the growth and resilience of the regional healthcare workforce.
