Designed in partnership with Kahler Slater, this LEED Silver Certified facility represents the combined vision of Cone Health, Guilford Technical Community College, North Carolina A&T State University, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro—a remarkable collaboration aimed at cultivating the next generation of healthcare professionals. Together, CPL and these partners crafted an immersive learning environment that supports associate, bachelor’s, and doctoral degree programs in nursing and other health professions, ensuring students are equipped with the skills and experience needed to thrive in the field.
The three-story building integrates flexible classrooms, collaborative study areas, specialized labs, and a 350-seat auditorium—ideal for both academic lectures and revenue-generating conferences.
At the heart of the facility is an advanced simulation center, where students and practicing nurses train using computer-operated medical mannequins in a realistic, hospital-like setting. This hands-on approach ensures learners gain vital experience, enhancing their clinical judgment and practical skills in a controlled, true-to-life environment.
