The Orange County Government Center, originally designed by well-known brutalist architect Paul Rudolph, underwent a remarkable transformation, restoration and preservation effort. After closing in 2011 due to major damage caused by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee, the building reopened in 2018 with improved efficiency, lighting, HVAC / MEP systems and ADA compliancy, among many other upgrades.
