Tampa, FL — Craig Lewis, CPL’s National Placemaking Practice Leader, received the Urban Intelligence Impact Award in Placemaking at the 2026 Smart City Expo Miami. The award recognizes his contributions to people-centered places that inspire connection, belonging and well-being.
Craig also presented on the neuroscience of urban places, exploring how walkability, safety and fear influence how people move through and experience their communities. His work looks beyond a place’s physical features to consider the experiences and connections that help communities feel like home.
