SYRACUSE, NY — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 48 years, is pleased to welcome Prashant Arora, CEM in the role of Senior Energy Engineer.
Bringing to the firm more than a decade of variegated experience in the clean energy and mechanical and aerospace engineering industries, Arora will play a vital role in delivering sustainable systems for building design projects across the east coast. He will work closely with the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) team to produce energy-efficient systems, and his responsibilities will also include design, research and planning for street and field lighting projects; the development of renewable energy technologies; and the implementation of HVAC/R, lighting and building automation systems.
With a focus on reducing energy demand and identifying cost-effective solutions for new construction and renovation projects, Arora is dedicated to driving sustainable innovation to cultivate a greener and ultimately more resilient built environment.
Prior to joining CPL, Arora served as a Solution Development Engineer at Honeywell. He earned a Master of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from Maharshi Dayanand University. He also maintains a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential with the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
