ROCHESTER, NY —CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 50 years, is excited to announce the addition of five new team members—Michael Martin, Eduardo Moreno, Ryan Sage, EIT, Christina Thisse, EIT, BPI BA & AC-HP and Tripp Topping—across its New York offices.
In Rochester, Martin steps into the role of Facilities Operations Project Manager, where he’ll lead cross-functional teams through every phase of the project lifecycle—from concept to completion. With expertise in project scheduling, budget oversight and quality control, Martin will also spearhead efforts to streamline stakeholder communication across projects.
Martin brings valuable insights from his previous role at the U.S. Forest Service. He holds an Associate of Science in Electronics Engineering from Coastline College and maintains credentials as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
Moreno returns to CPL’s Buffalo office as a member of the Mechanical Engineering Team, building on the momentum he began as an intern with the firm. Now a full-time team member, he will apply his academic foundation in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University at Buffalo to the design and coordination of high-performance HVAC and mechanical systems.
In addition to modeling and testing system performance, Moreno will draw on his technical proficiency in AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS and MATLAB to help deliver building environments that are both expedient and comfortable.
Also joining the Buffalo team is Sage, EIT, who boasts a robust background in civil engineering to his new role as a member of the Civil Engineering Team. Leveraging hands-on experience in welding, concrete testing and stormwater infrastructure, Sage will contribute to a variety of site design projects—ranging from evaluating existing conditions to producing cost estimates for future developments.
Sage previously interned with AECOM in Boston and earned both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. A former Eagle Scout, he recently passed his F.E. exam and is excited to grow his engineering career with CPL.
In Albany, Thisse, EIT, BPI BA & AC-HP harbors a passion for sustainable design and a deep understanding of utility programs to her role as Engineer. She joins CPL having led technical development for NYSERDA and NEEA initiatives, conducting mechanical system audits and performing detailed load calculations across commercial and residential sectors.
Armed with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Syracuse University and multiple BPI certifications, Thisse is set to help CPL advance high-performance building strategies and integrate energy-efficient solutions across its project portfolio.
In Poughkeepsie, Topping adds a creative edge to CPL’s capabilities as a member of the Geospatial Strategies Team. With advanced skills in LiDAR scanning, photogrammetry and 3D modeling, he will capture and process spatial data to support architecture and infrastructure teams.
Topping’s background in the visual effects industry—including his time as a photogrammetry lead at Halon Entertainment in Los Angeles—equips him with a keen eye for detail, accuracy and realism, which he will harness for both real-world environments and the built world.
