We are excited to share that CPL has been recognized in Modern Healthcare’s prestigious 2024 national survey of healthcare firms, securing the #25 spot. This marks a significant climb of 14 positions from last year, underscoring our Healthcare team’s ongoing dedication to advancing healthcare environments for physicians, staff, patients and visitors alike.
Modern Healthcare’s annual rankings are widely regarded as a benchmark of excellence within the A/E industry, evaluating firms based on their performance, innovation, and impact on healthcare design.
Our ascent in the rankings is a testament to the hard work and passion of our talented team members. Throughout the past year, CPL celebrated the successful completion of several distinguished healthcare projects. These include the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s (UPMC) new Hillman Cancer Center in Carlisle, PA, Rochester Regional Health’s (RRH) new Emergency Department at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic in Clifton Springs, NY, and notably, FirstHealth of the Carolinas’ new Cancer Center in Pinehurst, NC. The FirstHealth Cancer Center also ended up winning the 2023 IIDA Healthcare Design Award in the Ambulatory > Cancer Center category.

In addition to project milestones, CPL entered into a strategic partnership with Tampa-based architecture firm, BDG Architects, extending our reach in Florida, Alabama and Georgia. This partnership yields a unique fusion of healthcare design proficiency, enabling us to maximize our ability to advise health system clients and help them move the needle where it matters most: flexibility, operational efficiency, safety, sustainability, and a superior patient and caregiver experience.
