This project studied the conversion of Broad Street and Court Street from one-way to two-way traffic to improve access and make downtown Rochester, NY more business-friendly. The roundabout design required the reconstruction of the entrance ramps to an adjacent underground parking facility, and included the relocation of ramps as well as the replacement of a snow melt system contained within the concrete ramps.
This project won the 2015 ACEC Platinum Award for Engineering Excellence.
