‹ Portfolio

Nestled on Bridgewater College’s rural campus, Stone House Village is a 72-bed housing complex embodying the charm of the surrounding Town of Bridgewater while supporting the college’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

The development consists of five, two-story, colonial-style buildings, forming a cohesive residential village. Each building offers a combination of three-person (one double room, one single room) and six-person (two triple rooms) apartment layouts, complete with two bathrooms and a full kitchen, fostering a comfortable, home-like environment for students.

Stone Village’s design prioritizes energy efficiency and sustainability, earning the project LEED Certification. Each unit features high-performance insulation with rapidly renewable, soy-based materials, occupancy sensor-controlled lighting to minimize energy consumption, and Energy Star-certified appliances for enhanced efficiency. Low-VOC interior paints and adhesives improve indoor air quality, ensuring a healthier living space for students.

The exterior design reflects the area’s Victorian influences while seamlessly integrating green infrastructure, blending timeless aesthetics with modern sustainability strategies.
