CPL worked with David Ciurzynski Consulting, LLC and Thompson Builds, Inc. to redesign the Town of Batavia’s Fire Station No. 2. Approached with a design-build mindset, the team collaboratively produced creative solutions to get the Batavia Fire Department into a much larger home, despite up-front budgetary constraints.

The final design features a dual, drive through apparatus bay as well as designated areas for confined space extraction training and ladder evolution training. The station’s living quarters contain four bunk areas as well as a large, open day room complete with multiple zones for cooking, dining, playing games and promoting a calm sense of community for the department. Other amenities include an outdoor patio, workout room and typical office functions.
