CPL partnered with BC Construction Group to deliver full architectural design services for this strategically planned logistics hub—designed to strengthen regional distribution capabilities while bringing new employment opportunities to the local workforce.

Built with pharmaceutical handling in mind, the facility incorporates specialized climate-controlled storage zones. Nearly half of the interior is equipped with a dedicated cooling system that maintains a consistent temperature between 35 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure product integrity. Additional temperature-controlled capacity is provided by 10 advanced “Environtainers,” supporting the safe handling of high-value, sensitive materials.

To meet the demands of fast-moving logistics, our team executed a swift design-build process. The facility features a durable structural shell composed of conventional steel framing and tilt-up concrete wall panels with pour-in-place components—balancing resilience, cost-efficiency and long-term performance. Ten full-service loading docks, one drive-in door, and infrastructure for high-low battery charging stations further support seamless daily operations, with built-in flexibility for future expansion.

The project also includes a 5,000 sq. ft. office and administrative suite designed to support onsite management and logistics coordination, allowing DHL to efficiently oversee distribution functions from a centralized location.

With a focus on performance, scalability and safety, the DHL facility at Alexander Industrial Park reflects a commitment to high-functioning industrial spaces that drive economic growth and operational excellence.
