Powerful enhancements to the Allegany-Limestone CSD’s Elementary School have propelled a strong sense of inquiry and inclusion among their student body. Beginning with the building’s entrance and lobby, bright, branded graphics and color selections are featured and carried throughout learning environments, igniting Gator pride and welcoming all. Clever wayfinding also graces the walls and floors of corridors as well as key program spaces to further spark curiosity and bolster creativity.
Additional renovations included the reimagining of the school’s library to serve as a modern media center; the conversion of an unused classroom into a high-performing Maker Space; and the refreshment of an existing sensory room to offer new sensory elements and an intriguing I-spy window. These rigorous improvements, among many others, promote inclusivity, while supporting student growth, discovery, and collaboration.
