BUFFALO, NY — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 49 years, is pleased to welcome William Broikos, Roderick Green II, Briana Kotecki, NCIDQ, WELL AP, and Cameron Murphy to its office in Buffalo, NY.
Broikos joins the firm’s Community Infrastructure National team as an Engineering Designer. In his new role, he will utilize his expertise in AutoCAD to support the preparation of engineering plans, drawings and models, while his skills in researching and evaluating code provisions and engineering techniques will ensure the highest standards in project execution. Furthermore, Broikos will also conduct site inspections, documenting findings through measurements and photographs.
Before stepping into his full-time role, he completed internships at CPL and Axiom Engineering. Broikos earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo, where he was involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the UB Men’s Soccer Club.
Also joining the firm’s Community Infrastructure National team as an Engineering Designer, Green will plan and design a diverse range of projects, from small site developments and roadway improvements to complex wastewater treatment and collection systems. He will also gather and analyze data, perform field reviews and prepare detailed layouts for stormwater management, grading and erosion control.
Prior to his full-time position, Green was an Engineering Intern at CPL, where he honed his skills in infrastructure planning and design. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
Coming to the firm’s Architectural team as a Senior Interior Designer, Kotecki will lead and support complex interior design projects. Her extensive experience encompasses all phases of interior design and project management, with a particular focus on historical restoration. Kotecki is dedicated to impactful, community-focused design, as evidenced by her volunteer work with local organizations in the Buffalo region.
Before joining CPL, Kotecki was an Interior Designer/Associate at Trautman Associates. She earned a BFA in Interior Design from Villa Maria College. Her certifications as an NCIDQ and WELL AP professional, combined with her Certificate in Historical Restoration and Preservation, underscore Kotecki’s commitment to excellence in the interior design field.
Lastly, Murphy joins the firm’s Municipal team as a Planning Technician. In this role, he will apply his expertise in spatial analysis and GIS to support effective urban planning and development projects. His responsibilities will include data collection, geospatial analysis and the creation of detailed visual representations of geographic information.
Before coming to CPL, Murphy worked as a Student GIS Assistant at Buffalo State University’s Environmental Health & Safety Office. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban & Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, both from Buffalo State University. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus. His academic background is complemented by a Microcredential in Geospatial Techniques and a minor in Geographic Information Systems.
