CPL Welcomes Chelly Sundermeyer in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 48 years, is pleased to welcome Chelly Sundermeyer to its office in Charlotte, NC.

Sundermeyer joins the technology team as a Spatial Data Technician. With a distinguished career as a retired army veteran, where she served in a chemical battalion before pivoting to specialize in civil affairs, she will bring a wealth of experience to her work at CPL, including expertise in federal, state and local laws and regulations concerning environmental management, and an outstanding track record of performing environmental site assessments.

Her core responsibilities will include conducting spatial analyses and overseeing geoprocessing, and she will interpret acquired field data to identify spatial relationships and patterns, establish facts and draw conclusions in support of our project teams. A fervent advocate for eco-friendly practices, she is deeply committed to fostering sustainable development and mitigating pollution, and has made it her continuous goal to contribute meaningfully to the fight against climate change.

Sundermeyer most recently served as a Civil Affairs Specialist for the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, NC. She earned an Associate of Science from Fayetteville Technical Community College; a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies and a Bachelor of Science in geography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; and a Master of Environmental Assessment from North Carolina State University.
