CPL Welcomes Ellison Laughton in Raleigh

RALEIGH, NC — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 48 years, is pleased to welcome Ellison Laughton, AIA, NCARB, NOMA, LEED AP BD+C to its office in Raleigh, NC.

Laughton joins the architectural team as a Senior Project Architect with expertise in building envelope engineering, project management, building information modeling (BIM), historic preservation and sustainable design. Working closely with Principals and Project Managers, she will conduct design and contract document work sessions; write and edit architectural specifications; and research codes, guidelines and regulations governing best design practices for projects spanning the Higher Education and Healthcare market sectors.

Laughton most recently served as a Project Architect for LS3P Associates, and earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design in architecture from North Carolina State University. She holds professional architectural licensure in North Carolina and Illinois and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional with a focus in Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C), as well as a Registered Energy Professional (REP) in the city of Chicago, Illinois.

In addition to maintaining these professional credentials, Laughton is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).
