CPL Welcomes Jonathan Rink and Colin Thompson to New York

AIA, LEED Green Associate.BUFFALO, NY — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 50 years, is pleased to announce the addition of Jonathan Rink, P.E. and Colin Thompson, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Associate, to its offices in New York.

Rink joins CPL’s Buffalo office as an Engineer, where he will apply his expertise in waterline design, stormwater modeling, and pump station improvements to various projects. With proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD and WaterCAD, he will support the firm’s diverse engineering efforts by designing, drafting and analyzing complex systems to ensure optimal project outcomes.

Before coming to the firm, Rink served as an Engineer II at Barton and Loguidice. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University at Buffalo, is a Professional Engineer and is further certified in erosion and sedimentation control.

Thompson joins the firm’s Rochester office as an Architectural Designer, where he will craft precise architectural drawings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of design elements across diverse projects. His strong leadership in architectural organizations, combined with his commitment to fostering creativity and excellence, will play a key role in the firm’s ongoing success.

Before joining CPL, Thompson was an Architectural Designer at Passero Associates. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from SUNY College of Technology at Alfred. Additionally, Thompson is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a LEED Green Associate.
