ALBANY, NY — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 48 years, is pleased to welcome Dylan Babonis, E.I.T. to its office in Albany, NY.
Babonis joins the transportation team as a Junior Project Engineer, and will be responsible for conducting research, data analysis and traffic studies to support project development; preparing engineering drawings; conducting site inspections; and contributing to the creation of various roads, highways and public transit systems. In addition to his expertise in software such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS, he brings to the firm experience overseeing statewide fiberoptic permitting programs, reviewing work zone traffic control plans (WZTC) according to New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) specifications and inspecting in-service bridges throughout the Capital Region.
Prior to joining CPL, Babonis served as an Assistant Engineer for NYSDOT. He earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire. Additionally, he is a professional engineer-in-training (E.I.T.), and maintains certifications with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
