Marietta, GA — On May 13, 2026, the CPL team joined Cobb County officials, library staff and community members to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly renovated Cobb County Stratton Library.
The project was driven by a need for more flexible and functional space for both staff and patrons. Building on its relationship with Cobb County, CPL’s Community and Culture Practice team reimagined the existing library to better support modern community use without expanding the building footprint.
The renovation introduced two new private study rooms to address a long-requested need for dedicated quiet space, along with upgraded technology, refreshed children’s and family areas, updated lighting and carpeting and improved staff workspaces and service areas.
CPL collaborated with Cobb County and library staff from planning through construction to help deliver a refreshed community resource designed for learning, connection and everyday use.
The library officially reopened to the public on May 4, 2026.
