CPL Celebrates the Promotion of Andrew Goodermote

ROCHESTER, NY — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 47 years, is pleased to announce the promotion of Andrew Goodermote, AIA to the role of Principal. This merited advancement from aligns with the firm’s strategic vision to strengthen CPL’s leadership bench and continue to expand in burgeoning markets.

As Principal, Goodermote will provide architectural leadership in the firm’s Rochester office, effectively managing communication and coordination with clients, team members and external consultants; assisting with marketing, contract development, design, production and construction administration oversight; and working closely with other members of the senior leadership team to create and implement annual business development plans.

The new role also brings new core areas of anticipated focus for Goodermote—one being his continued efforts to help grow CPL’s Community portfolio of work. From administrative offices to public libraries and recreation centers, Goodermote will program and manage diverse environments for a wide range of clients, including government officials, town boards and city planners, empowering residents to take advantage of local resources.

Since joining the firm in 1988, Goodermote has worked on numerous large-scale construction and renovation projects across several practice areas, including the redevelopment of the Orange County Government Center in Goshen, NY; the renovation and expansion of Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital in Binghamton, NY; the restoration of Saratoga Springs City Hall in Saratoga Springs, NY; the addition and renovation of the Sands Constellation Center for Critical Care in Rochester, NY; and a myriad of K-12 design projects for school districts throughout western New York.

His recent contributions at CPL also include new partnerships with iuvo BioScienceSumitomo Rubber and Magnatag, and he is actively engaged in fostering the development of emerging A/E/C professionals as a member of the Alfred State Advisory Board.

The firm is confident that Goodermote will marry far-reaching, multidisciplinary experience with thoughtful, well-informed business strategies to augment project outcomes, streamline operations and generate success on behalf of the entire CPL team.
