ROCHESTER,NY — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 48 years, is pleased to welcome Ke’Shara Webb, E.I.T., Christopher Quinn Whittaker, LEED GA and Meghan Schmidt, CPP to its office in Rochester, NY.
As a Senior Project Engineer joining the civil engineering team, Webb will be responsible for devising new approaches to various design hurdles and leading efforts for a wide range of projects involving water and sanitary distribution systems and pump stations. She brings to CPL valuable insight gleaned from working directly with the Monroe County Water Authority and the Monroe County Department of Transportation, and is also well-versed in developing stormwater pollution prevent plans (SWPPPs) and backflow prevention reports.
Webb previously served as a Civil Engineer for Labella Associates D.P.C. She earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and is actively pursuing professional engineering licensure in New York state. Webb also serves as the Educational Director of the ACE Mentorship Program in Rochester, and thoroughly enjoys providing guidance and support for junior industry professionals as the Chair of the Villa of Hope’s Young Professionals Board. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Joining the architectural team, Whittaker will serve as an Architectural Designer to provide design support across the firm’s diverse practice areas. He will leverage a background in urban planning to help promote social equality and strengthen the built environment, and will be primarily responsible for developing project specifications; rendering 3D building models; and preparing documents for client and agency approval.
Prior to joining CPL, Whittaker served as an Architectural Designer for Razak Associates in Penfield, NY. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in environmental design from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Architecture from RIT, and is an accredited Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Associate (LEED GA).
Schmidt joins the human resources (HR) team as a Senior Business Partner, and will be responsible for optimizing payroll processes and HR information systems in support of firmwide business goals. She will apply more than two decades of comprehensive experience and training in HR, benefits and payroll administration to engage in strategic planning and goal-setting alongside internal stakeholders and senior leadership, and will additionally spearhead the development, implementation and modification of contemporary HR tools and workflows.
Prior to joining CPL, Schmidt served as Human Resources Manager for the Waco Manufacturing Group. She studied business and accounting at Monroe Community College, and is a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP). She is also an active member of the American Payroll Association (APA) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
