As part of a downtown revitalization plan, the City of Flowery Branch initiated a series of projects to enhance walkability, citizen engagement and downtown patronage, with a specific focus on supporting local farmers and artisans. Assisting the City with this exciting transformation, CPL developed design concepts that celebrate the city’s agrarian heritage and foster a regional destination.

A focal point of this endeavor was the thoughtfully designed Market Alley, adorned with brick paving and seamlessly directing visitors through shops and historic structures toward the Market Pavilion.

Lined with new landscaping and furnished with tables and chairs, the charming walkway encourages social interaction and community engagement.

The open-air Market Pavilion, crafted from wood, offers shade, lighting and ceiling fans, establishing a welcoming haven for vendors and patrons alike.

The revitalization effort also encompassed the creation of a versatile pocket park on Pine Street, adjacent to a popular restaurant.

Beyond its functional aspects, the Flowery Branch Farmers Market also pays homage to the region’s farming heritage, harmoniously blending modern progress with historical roots right in the heart of the city.

The collective vision of creating a vibrant and thriving downtown that captures the essence of the community has been successfully realized, culminating in a destination that will continue to draw interest for years to come.
