As the Dutchess Day School in Millbrook, NY, celebrated their 60th anniversary, the school also celebrated the blossoming of its performing arts and music education program. To meet the program’s need for a dedicated space, CPL took the lead in converting an underutilized gymnasium into a music education building, featuring music classrooms, practice rooms, and a performance area for student plays and musicals.
The design also features a “black box” control room where students use the latest technology to learn the ins and outs about lighting and sound production, as well as a new Library Media Center, which serves as a student “hub” for study and collaboration.
