In partnership with the City, CPL designed the Burlington Pickleball Complex as part of the Burlington Recreation and Parks Master Plan—an initiative also led by CPL to enhance recreational offerings, preserve green space and respond to evolving community needs.
Initially planned as a modest community asset, the project evolved significantly in response to growing regional enthusiasm for pickleball. Our Community & Culture team worked closely with the City to double the number of courts and introduce a covered Championship Court, transforming the facility into a regional destination capable of hosting tournaments, leagues, clinics and camps.
The final design includes 16 professional-grade courts and one Championship Court, all fully accessible and equipped with high-performance LED lighting.

Each court bay features individual lighting controls to maximize energy efficiency and flexibility for after-dark play. The site also includes a new 256 sq. ft. restroom facility to support daily use and large events.

Conveniently located within Fairchild Park—already home to a baseball field, tennis courts, aquatics center and senior center—the complex strengthens an already dynamic recreational corridor.
The Burlington Pickleball Complex is poised to become a central hub for fitness, competition and social connection, serving both residents and visitors for years to come.
