CPL is situated 15 minutes north of Truist Park – home of the Atlanta Braves – in Woodstock, a city frequently ranked as one of the country’s top 20 places to live. Team members enjoy the proximity to the city’s spirited Main Street, home of the Woodstock Arts Center, the Greenprints Trail System, Reformation Brewery’s beer garden and the Woodstock amphitheater, a project devised by the CPL team.
A Nucleus for Cutting-Edge Design
Designed in-house using virtual reality (VR) software, CPL Woodstock has been described as a “perfect collaboration effort." Visitors are welcomed at the lively reception desk before stepping through the “corkscrew lounge,” an intimate seating area enveloped by a thick, curved wall that bisects the office and creates a portal to the design studio.
Whimsical pop culture homages and references to architectural masters are scattered throughout the open-concept space to inspire team members. Sliding doors separate the office’s expansive conference room (itself envisioned as a tribute to the famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted) from a contemporary industrial kitchen, which includes a barista bar and modern appliances, serving as the heart of the office. Moreover, a Creative Labs suite is equipped with 3D printers, laser scanners, 360 cameras and VR headsets that allow designers to render and explore conceptual environments, elevate CPL’s design methodologies and produce optimal project outcomes.
CPL Woodstock’s warm atmosphere stimulates superior design among team members who feel more like family. On Fridays, it isn’t uncommon to find the team using the outside barbeque grill to cook burgers and hotdogs, and team members are known to get together frequently outside of work to enjoy each other’s company.
