National Comedy Center

‹ Portfolio

Coined the nation’s cultural institution dedicated to the art of comedy, the National Comedy Center is the only venue of its kind that houses the history, appreciation, and preservation of comedy. This restoration and expansion project merged two historical buildings [the Municipal Warehouse (1912) and The Gateway Train Station (1860)] to create a sizable museum featuring more than 50 interactive exhibits, including a holographic theater where visitors can see a virtual act of their favorite comedians, even from decades ago. The museum also offers close ties with the famous Lucille Ball museum and has become the new hub for Jamestown’s annual summer comedy festival.

Truly a unique destination, the museum was named the “Best New Museum” in the country in 2020 by USA Today.
