NEW YORK — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public- and private-sector clients for more than 50 years, welcomes Bella Chen, AIA, and Kaleb Calkins to its growing New York team.

Chen joins CPL’s Westchester office as an Architectural Project Manager, bringing eight years of experience spanning architecture and interior design. Her background includes K-12, workplace and hospitality projects, with expertise in design development, consultant coordination, BIM/Revit and project delivery from schematic design through construction administration.

Prior to joining CPL, Chen served as a Project Designer II with KSQ Design in New York, where she led multidisciplinary K-12 projects and supported clients throughout the design and construction process. She earned a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Beijing University of Technology.

Calkins joins CPL’s Fairport office as a BSE Designer I on the Electrical Engineering team. He brings a hands-on technical background in electronic systems, advanced troubleshooting and equipment maintenance, with experience identifying root causes, improving system reliability and collaborating with engineering teams to support performance and quality.

Most recently, Calkins served as an Electronics Technician II with L3Harris Technologies in Rochester. He earned a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Buffalo State University and an associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Monroe Community College.
