RALEIGH, NC — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 48 years, is pleased to welcome Emily Pinkston, AIA, NCARB and TraShanna Sanchez to its office in Raleigh, NC.
Joining the architectural team as a Project Design Leader, Pinkston’s primary focus will be on fostering a culture of design excellence throughout the firm. With almost a decade of diverse experience in the healthcare, higher education and science and technology sectors, she will leverage her natural collaboration skills to provide guidance for teams across the CPL footprint, working alongside fellow team members to create 2D and 3D diagrams, orthographic drawings and renderings that realize each project’s unique design vision.
Passionate about developing innovative, forward-thinking environments, Pinkston is committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for all clients by implementing a more cohesive design process and equipping teams with the tools necessary to produce a collective body of work that reflects both beauty and function.
Prior to joining CPL, she served as an Architectural Associate for Flad Architects. She earned a Bachelor of Science in architecture and a Master of Architecture from Roger Williams University, and maintains professional architectural licensure in the state of North Carolina. Pinkston is also a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council for Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
Also joining the architectural team is Sanchez, who will perform work for diverse renovation and new construction projects as an Architectural Designer. Her core responsibilities will include performing design analyses; writing and consolidating reports, plans and specifications; and leading project team meetings and client vision sessions. Additionally, she will add value to the team with expertise in environmental design best practices, building code and zoning research and the preparation of presentations that go before municipal boards.
Sanchez previously served as a Designer for J. Davis Architects. She earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design in architecture from North Carolina State University and an Associate of Applied Engineering and Design Technologies from Wake Technical Community College. Beyond her role at CPL, Sanchez also serves as Social Media Coordinator for the North Carolina chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) and the Secretary for the City of Raleigh’s Community Engagement Board.
