CHARLOTTE, NC — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 49 years, is pleased to welcome Jessie Cart to its office in Charlotte, NC.

Joining the firm’s Civic Buildings – National team as an Architectural Designer, Cart has a passion for sustainable design and a rich portfolio that includes eco-friendly neighborhoods and experiential learning centers. With expertise in client consultations, survey mapping, layout development and 3D modeling across diverse architectural projects, she embodies a design philosophy rooted in empathy and social responsibility, ensuring functional and visually appealing solutions tailored to community needs.

Prior to joining CPL, Cart served as a Graduate Research Assistant at UNC Charlotte, contributing to research in extended reality. She holds a Master of Urban Design and a Master of Architecture from UNC Charlotte, complementing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Neuroscience from Wofford College.

Moreover, Cart is deeply involved in professional and community organizations, advocating for sustainability and mental health initiatives within the architecture community.
