CHARLOTTE, NC — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 50 years, is pleased to announce the addition of Douglas Cao, Assoc. AIA, and Khue Trinh, NCARB, to its North Carolina offices.
Cao brings his expertise to CPL’s Raleigh office as a Senior Architectural Designer. In this role, he will leverage his proficiency in BIM and design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, and SketchUp, to produce detailed construction documents, master plans, and 3D models. Cao is committed to advancing the firm’s architectural projects by integrating sustainable practices and exploring new solutions that challenge traditional design boundaries.
Cao previously worked as an Architectural Associate at Flad Architects. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned the Alpha Rho Chi Bronze Medal and the ARCC King Student Medal. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from UNC Charlotte, and as an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), he is committed to advancing his professional development.
Trinh joins the firm’s Charlotte office as an Architect II with over seven years of experience in the field. In her new role, she will contribute her expertise in managing and designing a variety of projects through all phases of development. Trinh’s proficiency in BIM, design software, and her commitment to sustainability will be instrumental in delivering design solutions for CPL’s diverse bench of clients.
Previously, Trinh was a Senior Job Captain at Urban Architectural Initiatives. She holds a Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Kent State University. Trinh is also a licensed architect and an active member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
