ATLANTA, GA — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 50 years, is excited to announce the addition of Dana Spayde, AICP as a Senior Planner in Atlanta, GA.
With a decade of experience in urban and regional planning, Spayde brings a deep understanding of zoning, ordinance development and historic preservation to CPL’s growing planning bench. In this role, she will collaborate closely with municipalities and multidisciplinary project teams to advance community-driven plans, refine land use strategies and guide scalable, long-term growth across the region.
Recognized for her thoughtful approach and leadership in community development, Spayde has helped shape policies and overlay districts that foster vibrant, resilient places. Her expertise bridges the technical and the human—balancing data-driven insight with an inclusive vision for design and public process.
Prior to joining CPL, she served as a Principal Planner for Cherokee County. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Heritage Preservation from Georgia State University and an Urban and Regional Planning Certificate from the University of Texas at El Paso. She maintains credentials with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is a 2024 recipient of the GAZA Award for Outstanding Documents.
