To ensure that every project is built with the future in mind, our efforts require nimble servant leadership married with a proven aptitude for client relationship management—two attributes that Chris Colby, Ken Mayer, Eric Wies and Rich Edinger all possess. We’re therefore pleased to appoint them as National Practice Leaders!

CPL’s National Practice Leaders spearhead the creation and execution of long-term business plans to attract new clients and achieve established profit, portfolio and staffing goals, working with Regional Practice Leaders positioned throughout our growing footprint to guarantee a unified approach to project management. Together, they nurture agile teams, promoting operational efficiency and steady career progression for the next generation.

At the helm of our K-12 Practice team, Colby will collaborate with school districts and local leaders to build strong academic foundations that ensure students—and their communities—are well-prepared for the future.

Mayer, Wies and Edinger will likewise lead three distinct Community Practice-based teams.

Under Mayer’s leadership, our Vertical group will pioneer designs for civic buildings, libraries, museums, zoos, aquariums and parks and recreation facilities, emphasizing spaces that foster neighborhood engagement and pride.

Guided by Wies, our Horizonal team will address design for sites, utilities, water and wastewater systems, thoroughfares, bridges and other “horizontal” projects, creating infrastructure that seamlessly integrates form and function within the built environment.

Finally, our Government Services group will act as embedded advisors to town councils, driving progress for entire counties. With a background in the public sector, Edinger intimately understands clients’ perspectives, making him the ideal candidate to guide informed decisions that empower residents to thrive.
