BUFFALO, NY — CPL, a full-service design firm that has served public and private-sector clients for 46 years, is pleased to welcome Michael Murphy, E.I.T. and Christa Trautman to its growing team in Buffalo, NY.
Murphy joins the transportation team as a Junior Civil Engineer. His responsibilities will include researching, evaluating and executing appropriate engineering techniques and code provisions; conducting site and construction inspections; and identifying infrastructure improvement opportunities for the firm’s clients. He brings to CPL expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000 and a variety of structural analysis and finite element modeling software programs.
Murphy previously served as a Post Graduate Research Assistant at SUNY Buffalo, where he earned a Master of Science in civil engineering and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is pursuing a New York state professional engineering (PE) license.
Trautman joins the firm as an Architectural Designer who will perform analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies and limited design layouts for diverse healthcare projects. She will also write and review plans and estimates and develop detailed 2D and 3D architectural models in AutoCAD and Revit. In addition to her architectural prowess, Trautman demonstrates proficiency in the production of graphic and written marketing content.
Prior to joining CPL, Trautman served dually as an Architectural Designer and Marketing Coordinator for Stieglitz Snyder Architecture. She earned a Master of Architecture, a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in architecture from SUNY Buffalo. Trautman also completed the LeaderCORE professional development program, earning the Role Model Certification, and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) West New York (WNY) chapter.
