POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — CPL, a full-service design firm that has served public and private-sector clients for 46 years, is pleased to welcome Maxwell LaFalce and John Szarowski, P.E., LEED AP to its civil engineering growing team in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Joining the team as a Survey Technician, LaFalce will assist in the planning and design development of a variety of sites, primarily for water treatment and distribution projects, wastewater treatment and collection projects, stormwater systems, and other civil and infrastructure projects.
LaFalce joins the firm after serving as an Assistant Drafter at Modern Cabinet Company. He has an Associate of Applied Science degree in architectural technology and construction technology from Dutchess Community College.
Also joining the civil engineering team is Szarowski, who will serve as Project Manager, primarily responsible for managing a variety of regional water treatment/distribution and wastewater treatment/collection projects. With decades of industry experience, he is positioned to lead teams on a range of projects including providing solutions for sanitary pump stations, assessing site layouts, and producing cost estimates for new stormwater management systems.
Prior to joining CPL, Szarowski served as Vice President at KC Engineering and Land Surveying, P.C. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from SUNY Buffalo and an Associates of Science degree in civil engineering technology from SUNY Erie. Szarowski also holds professional licensure in New York and Pennsylvania as well as professional certifications, including HAZWOPER, 40 hour training, Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), Certified Professional in StormWater Quality (CPSWQ), and Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM).
