PITTSBURGH, PA — CPL, a full-service design firm that has served public and private-sector clients for 46 years, is pleased to welcome Akirah Hixon and Emma Gaus to its growing team in Pittsburgh, PA.
Hixon joins the architectural team as an Architectural Designer who will be responsible for participating in conceptual design activities and coordinating with clients to achieve project goals. She will also perform product research and selection and consolidate documents for the approval of a wide range of authorities. In addition to her proficiency in Rhino and the Adobe Creative Suite, she has an aptitude for hand modeling and laser cutting.
Prior to joining CPL, Hixon served as a Curatorial Assistant for Wick Monet and an Ambassador for the Palmer Museum of Art. She earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Pennsylvania State University.
Gaus joins the design team as an Interior Designer. Working in tandem with senior team members, she will be responsible for developing 3D models, preparing plans and interior elevations, conducting field measurements and leading client meetings. Her expertise in programs such as Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD and the Adobe Creative Suite will enable her to contribute significantly to the team’s multifaceted projects.
Prior to joining the firm, Gaus worked as a Faculty Assistant at Kent State University in Kent, OH, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in interior design. She also served as the Head of Communications for the institution’s Interior Design Student Collaborative (IDSC).
