CHARLOTTE, NC — CPL, a full-service design firm serving public and private-sector clients for more than 50 years, is excited to announce the addition of Alex Rodriguez to its office in Charlotte, NC.
Bringing experience as both an interior designer and architect, Rodriguez has worked across healthcare, civic, cultural and residential projects, earning a reputation for balancing creative vision with technical precision. His dual expertise allows him to approach projects holistically—integrating spatial planning, materiality and architectural considerations to create environments that are sustainable, functional and deeply human-centered.
In his role as an Architect at CPL, he will focus on healthcare projects that prioritize wellness, sustainability and a strong sense of place. His work will help deliver innovative spaces that enhance patient and provider experiences while supporting long-term community impact.
Prior to joining CPL, Rodriguez worked as an Architectural Technician at Ewing Cole Architects. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and Space Planning from Ringling College of Art and Design—where he received a scholarship for “Outstanding Talent in the Visual Arts”—and later completed a Master of Architecture and Professional Certificate in Historic Preservation and Regionalism at the University of New Mexico.
