The Town of Rutherfordton is set to enhance its community landscape by revitalizing key properties for a new municipal campus and affordable housing.
The initiative includes the strategic acquisition of a former school campus, which will be transformed into the new Town Hall and Police Station, featuring facilities for public events and indoor recreation. CPL’s Civic Buildings – National Community Practice team is working closely with the Town to lead the design efforts.
Additionally, a significant 5.8-acre tract on E. 2nd Street has been earmarked for much-needed affordable housing.
