At the intersection of elegant transportation design and community renewal, you’ll find Brian Miller, P.E., S.E.
As a Senior Engineering Project Manager at CPL, Miller provides technical oversight, master planning and quality control for Transportation assignments spanning the east coast. Partnering with local municipalities and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), he marries civil and structural engineering strategies to deliver solutions that keep people connected.
“Our decisions don’t just determine how or where roads or bridges are built—they mitigate transportation barriers, improving equity and accessibility for all,” Miller said.
In his five years at CPL, he’s led countless projects involving roadways, bridges, railroad overpasses, mixed-use buildings and parks, and his unique, blended understanding of civil and structural principles has given way to his role as a specialty expert in parking facilities design, which combines both disciplines.
His recent ventures include a 750-space parking garage for The Grove at Towne Center in Snellville, GA, a public parking deck in Canton, GA and a signature pedestrian bridge for an upcoming park at Suwanee Town Center on Main.

By designing transportation systems with the future in mind, Miller is able to help combat traffic congestion and complement public placemaking, both of which impact community growth.
“Parking infrastructure is fundamental to a livable society. If it’s poorly designed, it can negate mobility and cause massive delays,” he explained.
Miller also strives to expand his professional knowledge as a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) , and maintains engineering licensure in six states, including Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Louisiana and Tennessee.
He says the most rewarding aspect of his job is getting to utilize the systems he’s helped create.
“Many of our projects are located close by, so I visit them often,” Miller said. “It’s enriching to experience firsthand how they bring people together.”
