Greg Royer

Greg leads CPL’s Energy Solutions practice, helping public and private sector clients translate complex energy and infrastructure challenges into implementable projects that improve performance, resilience, and measurable carbon-reduction outcomes. With more than two decades of experience, he is known for developing creative, out-of-the-box strategies that break through technical, financial, and regulatory constraints to achieve ambitious client goals.

His expertise spans energy performance contracting and owner’s representative support, building systems and controls optimization, renewable and distributed energy resources, lighting and load management, EV charging and fleet electrification planning, microgrid and battery storage strategies, and energy financing. Working closely with CPL’s multidisciplinary design teams, Greg’s team supports clients from early assessment through design and implementation, ensuring solutions are practical, defensible, and built to deliver lasting value across portfolios ranging from healthcare facilities to K–12 and municipal campuses.
