Guilford Technical Community College Center for Advanced Manufacturing
Jamestown, North Carolina
Client: Guilford Technical Community College
Completion Date: 2020
Total Project Cost: $23 M
Size: 202,000 s.f.
What once stood as a 250,000 s.f. manufacturing and warehouse facility, now bolsters economic growth as the state-of-the-art Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) facility for Guilford Tech students.
CPL worked closely with the College to design an environmentally friendly and energy efficient building to house programs for transportation technology, computer-integrated machining, and welding technology. The project included a 157,000 s.f. renovation of the original high-bay building and the "insertion" of a 45,000 s.f. second floor addition to create learning environments for machining, welding and automotive technologies.
